About us

Volunteering Wairarapa which is governed by an incorparated society. The board members are a group of volunteers who are dedicated to providing volunteering services throughout the Wairarapa.

Volunteering Wairarapa is a member of Volunteering New Zealand and the 19th Volunteer Centre established throughout New Zealand. We have received tremendous support and encouragement from our sister centres and Volunteering New Zealand.

Volunteer Driver

Ref: #00433


Drive people with vision impairments to and from Blind Foundation organised events. Use own car. Usually a six-weekly morning tea at St Matthews Church, Masterton. Volunteer driver is welcome to join the group for morning tea.


About 1-2 hours, once every six weeks

Skill requirements

Volunteer drivers with clean and current full New Zealand driving licence required. Volunteers must be over 18 years old. Be able to relate to a diverse range of people. Be willing to attend a orientation course and any other training required by the Organisation.

Personality requirements

Patience, Friendly, Reliable.
